Sharing Projects
LED.FYI lets you create shareable links to your projects for client review and collaboration.
Share Types
Client Share
A read-only link that lets clients view the current state of your project. They can see the configuration, views, and equipment details without being able to make changes.
Docs Share
A snapshot of your project documentation — includes a PDF-style view along with a read-only project link. Useful for sending finalized plans to clients or colleagues.
Creating a Share
- Go to File > Share Project in the toolbar
- Choose the share type (Client or Docs)
- Optionally add a custom title
- Optionally set a password for protection
- Click Create Share
- Copy the generated URL and send it to your client
Share URLs follow the format: led.fyi/share/{token}
Password Protection
You can require a password to access shared links. When password protection is enabled:
- Visitors see a password gate before viewing the project
- Only people with the password can access the content
- The password is set when creating the share
Managing Shares
View and manage all active shares for a project:
- View shares — See all active share links, their types, and creation dates
- Delete shares — Remove individual shares to revoke access
- Track usage — See how many active shares exist vs. your plan limit
Share Limits
The number of shares per project depends on your plan:
| Plan | Shares per Project |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Pro | 5 |
| Studio | Unlimited |
What Clients See
When a client opens a share link, they see a read-only view that includes:
- Project name and summary
- Screen configurations and panel types
- Equipment details and specifications
- BOM information
- Visual previews
They cannot modify any project settings or access other projects.
Units in Shared Links
Docs share links preserve the distance and weight unit preferences (metric/imperial) that were selected at the time the share was created. Clients will see measurements in the same units you chose.
Saving and Sharing
The project is automatically saved to the cloud before creating a share link, ensuring the client sees the latest version. If you make changes after sharing, the share reflects the state at the time it was created — create a new share to send updated information.
