Interface Overview

The LED.FYI interface is organized into three main areas: the top toolbar, the side panels, and the central workspace.

Toolbar

The toolbar spans the top of the screen and provides quick access to the most important actions.

Left Section

  • Menu — Toggle the left sidebar
  • Project Name — Click to rename your project
  • File Menu — New project, open, save, share, and export options

Center Section

  • Layout Mode — Switch between Single, Dual, and Quad view layouts
  • View Selector — Quick buttons to switch between the five main views:
    • Surfaces — Manage video content layers
    • LED Mapping — Map panels to processor outputs
    • 2D Layout — Physical layout and measurements
    • 3D View — Perspective visualization
    • Video Output — Preview the processor output

Right Section

  • Live Output — Open an external output window (desktop app only)
  • Theme Toggle — Switch between light and dark mode
  • User Menu — Account, billing, projects, and settings
  • Help — Quick start guide, keyboard shortcuts, and community links
  • Properties — Toggle the right properties panel

The left sidebar contains collapsible configuration panels. Toggle it with the [ key or the menu button.

Press Shift + [ to expand the sidebar to 50% width for more working space.

Right Properties Panel

The right panel shows context-sensitive properties for the currently selected item. Toggle it with the ] key.

What appears depends on your selection:

  • Selected panel — Pixel size, physical size, position, wiring info
  • Selected screen — Grid dimensions, panel type, data path settings
  • Selected surface — Source type, dimensions, position on output

Workspace

The central workspace displays the active view. In dual or quad layout mode, it splits to show multiple views simultaneously.

Multi-View Layouts

  • Single — One view fills the workspace
  • Dual — Two views side by side (or stacked)
  • Quad — Four views in a 2x2 grid

Each view in a multi-view layout has its own view selector, so you can combine any views. For example, show the LED mapping and 3D view side by side while working on string assignments.
