Appearance
Multi-View & Quad View
LED.FYI supports displaying multiple views simultaneously, letting you see different aspects of your project at the same time.
Layout Modes
Switch between layout modes using the buttons in the center of the toolbar:
Single View
One view fills the entire workspace. Best for focused work on a single task.
Dual View
The workspace splits into two panels, either side-by-side or stacked. Each panel has its own view selector.
Quad View
Four views in a 2x2 grid. Each quadrant has its own independent view selector.
Independent View Selection
Each panel in a multi-view layout can display any view independently:
- Surfaces
- LED Mapping
- 2D Layout
- 3D View
- Video Output
For example, you could show the LED Mapping view on the left and the 3D View on the right while configuring string assignments in the sidebar.
Common Combinations
| Layout | Views | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Dual | Mapping + 3D | Configure string assignments while seeing the physical result |
| Dual | Surfaces + Video Output | Position surfaces while previewing the final output |
| Quad | All four main views | Full project overview |
| Dual | 2D Layout + 3D View | Physical layout with perspective reference |
Performance
All views in multi-view mode run at the target 60 FPS. The rendering system is optimized to handle multiple simultaneous views without degradation, including:
- Animated test patterns in all views
- Real-time video playback
- Interactive camera controls per view
- Responsive selection and dragging
