Appearance
3D View
The 3D View provides a perspective visualization of your LED installation, showing screens positioned in three-dimensional space with real-time content rendering.
Navigation
- Orbit — Click and drag to rotate the camera around the scene
- Pan — Right-click and drag, or hold Shift while dragging
- Zoom — Scroll wheel
- WASD Movement — Use keyboard for first-person-style camera movement:
- W/S — Move forward/backward
- A/D — Strafe left/right
- Q/E — Move down/up
Positioning Screens
Select a screen to show transform handles. Use them to:
- Move — Drag the arrow handles to reposition in X, Y, or Z
- Rotate — Press R to toggle rotate mode, then drag the ring handles
- Scale — Resize the screen (maintains panel grid proportions)
The New Project Wizard automatically positions multiple screens side-by-side with a small gap between them.
Screen Curving
Screens with curving enabled are rendered as curved surfaces in 3D. The panels bend according to the configured junction angles, giving an accurate preview of concave or convex curves. This works with both simple (uniform) and compound (variable angle) curving modes.
Display Options
The 3D View toolbar includes toggles for:
- Environment — Choose between Dark, Light, or Sky backgrounds
- Camera Type — Switch between perspective and orthographic projection
- Grid — Show or hide the ground reference grid
- Panel Borders — Show or hide individual panel outlines
- Labels — Show or hide screen names and dimensions
Real-Time Rendering
Screens in the 3D view display their linked surface content in real-time. This includes:
- Test patterns with animation
- Video playback
- Images
- Panel Map overlays showing wiring data
Performance
The 3D view is optimized for 60 FPS rendering across all display configurations including:
- Multiple screens with high panel counts
- Active test pattern animations
- Dual and quad view layouts
- Up to 4K resolution
An optional FPS counter can be enabled to verify performance.
