Theme & appearance
The app chrome (top bar, sidebars, Inspector, dialogs) has a light and a dark look. One button in the top bar controls it.
The theme button
In the right-hand icon cluster of the top bar, the theme button cycles through three states with each click:
| State | Icon | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| System | monitor | Follows your operating system's light/dark setting, live, so the app switches the moment your OS does. | ✓ |
| Light | sun | Always light. | |
| Dark | moon | Always dark. |
The cycle order is System → Light → Dark → back to System, and the tooltip always names the current state (e.g. Theme: system (click to switch)).

What the theme does, and doesn't, affect
The theme changes the UI chrome only:
- The 3D scene backdrop has its own separate Background setting (Dark / Soft white) in the 3D view's display menu; see Render styles, LED look & backgrounds.
- Sheet previews in the Sheets workbench stay paper-white in either theme: drawings look like drawings.
- The LED wall content itself renders identically in both themes.
Stored per machine
The theme is remembered per browser/machine and, unlike the settings in Preferences, is deliberately not synced to your account and not part of the Preferences dialog. Your laptop can be dark and the shop machine light.
Everything about how the 3D wall looks (render styles, the physical-LED close-up look, fill factor, brightness, scene background) lives in the 3D view's own display menu and is documented at Render styles, LED look & backgrounds. Those are also per-machine display preferences that never change the saved project.
